Community Noticeboard

Our online Community Noticeboard is designed to support local groups,
charities and community events, and to help people connect with what’s
happening nearby.

To keep this space helpful, welcoming and relevant, all submissions
are moderated in line with the guidance below.

What We’re Happy to Share

We welcome notices relating to:

  • local events and fairs
  • registered and fundraising activities
  • schools and community groups
  • clubs, societies and not‑for‑profit organisations
  • talks, workshops or activities that benefit the local community

All notices should be community‑focused, inclusive and non‑commercial in nature.

What We’re Unable to Publish

We don’t publish notices that:

  • promote commercial businesses, services or paid advertising
  • include political campaigning or lobbying
  • contain offensive, discriminatory or inflammatory language
  • promote activities that may be unsafe or inappropriate
  • are personal notices (e.g. lost property, private sales)
  • include inaccurate, misleading or incomplete information

We also reserve the right not to publish notices that don’t align with the spirit or purpose of the Community Noticeboard.

How Moderation Works
  • All notices are reviewed before being published
  • We may make small edits for clarity, length or consistency
  • We may contact you if further information is needed
  • Publishing a notice is always at Parkers’ discretion

We aim to keep moderation light‑touch and supportive, while ensuring the noticeboard remains useful and relevant.

Duration & Removal
  • Notices are published for a set period (usually linked to an event date)
  • Expired notices are removed automatically
  • We may remove a notice at any time if requested by the organiser or if it no longer meets these guidelines
Responsibility for Content

Parkers provides the noticeboard as a community information space. Responsibility for event details, organisation and delivery remains with the submitting group or individual.

Keeping It Fair

We receive many requests to share community notices and aim to be fair and consistent in what we publish. Inclusion on the noticeboard does not imply endorsement or sponsorship by Parkers.
